About Us

We are Queer In Chemistry (QuIC), a graduate-student-led organization that works to bring together and support the LGBTQIA+ undergraduates, graduate students, and postdoctoral researchers who study chemistry at Princeton. If you don’t study chemistry, no problem; please feel free to come enjoy our events too! We strive to create a welcoming space for all queer people and our allies.

We hold monthly social events—such as trips to NYC/Philly, movie nights, and dinners—and are in the process of planning professional development events. We also host a lecture series, which Prof. Dirk Trauner kicked off with us in the spring of 2022. If you would like to learn more about our organization, feel free to contact any of the QuIC officers below. Also, sign up for our mailing list here.

Yours in Pride:

  • James Cox: G4, president
  • Eric Geunes: G3, social chair
  • Alberto Castanedo, G2, treasurer
  • Sarah Gernhart: G1, general officer,
